This photography series aims to uncover the ancient world of the Mayans and to capture the beauty and historical significance of the Copán Mayan ruins in Honduras. These ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are considered one of the most important archaeological sites of the Mayan civilization and offer a glimpse into the architectural and artistic achievements of this ancient culture.
The objective of the assignment was to use photography as a medium to bring the ancient world of the Mayans to life and to showcase their architectural and artistic achievements. Additionally, it was to raise awareness of the importance of preserving these cultural heritage sites for future generations to appreciate and learn from the Mayan civilisation.
