The Reserva Natural Isla Juan Venado is an idyllic oasis that sits along the shimmering Pacific coast of Nicaragua. Its breathtakingly unique and biologically diverse habitat has drawn the attention of those who seek to document and celebrate the rich and diverse birdlife that calls it home.
The aim was to not only document this avian wonder but also to bring attention to the significance of the reserve as a crucial refuge for over 300 species of birds, including both migratory and endemic varieties.
